Janice Bishop
Janice Bishop, BS, LCDCII is the Vice President of
Human Resources for the Crossroads Center.
Ms. Bishop has been employed by the Crossroads Center since 1988. During that time, she
has held several positions.
The Crossroads Center
is a Behavioral Health Center
which provides substance abuse. Mental Health and child welfare
services. The agency provides outpatient services to both
adolescents and adults and residential services to adults only. The
women’s gender specific residential treatment program allows clients
to co-locate up to (2) children in treatment with them that are
under the age of 5 years old.
The Licensed Child Care Program serves up to 51 children ages
0-5. There is also capacity for 13 school aged children for before
and after school and summer programming.
The Child Care program also includes a Head Start Enhanced
Classroom. The agency provides Cultural Competency Training for
staff both internally and externally. Also the agency assists local
communities in Coalition Building Activities.

Her professional credits include 23 years of
previous employment at the
University
of Cincinnati.
She has participated on several boards of agencies including her
role as past chairperson of the Board for the Urban Minority Drug
Abuse Outreach Program. While employed by the
University
of Cincinnati,
she served as chairperson of the Martin Luther King Jr. Committee.
Ms. Bishop served as Assistant to the Conference Chair of the
National Black Alcohol and Addictions Counselors for more than 5
years. She participated on Committees for the National Families in
Action. She also served on a Governor’s Task Force for Children
chaired by Hope Taft. In 2008 - 09, Ms. Bishop also served as
President of Recovery Link.
Her educational credentials include a BS in
Human Resources from the
University
of Cincinnati.
She is currently in her final year of the Masters in Social Work
Program at the University of Cincinnati. She is a Licensed Chemical
Dependency Counselor.
